Do we need to go anywhere
We have migrated thousands of times
yet we still travel always
I have been stationed here for millions of generations,
accumulated belongings layers thick,
I still have to leave
Maybe it's the fate of our people,
always climbing up some social order,we are forced to evacuate
Having no pride with our own skeleton,when a simple dusting job is all it takes
Maybe it's my problem
Refusing the oppression of upward,downward,or sideways mobility
Maybe I have too much respect for time
Especially when it is still. |
